Generalissimo
George Baker 694-1345

    Dear Sir Knights,

     At our January meeting, it was decided that we will be performing degree work in the following manner; The order of the Red Cross will be conferred at our stated meeting in April by  Sir Knight Past Commander Robert Peelman; The Order of  Malta will be conferred at our stated meeting in May by Sir Knight Past Commander Tom Wheeler; The Order of the Temple will be conferred by me on Saturday morning, June 14th. This will be for inspection. If you know of anyone that needs any of these orders, or know of any Royal and Select Masters who would like these Orders, please contact me or anyone from Newport Commandery.

    Newport Commandery  was asked to present the Colors at Ft. Thomas’ Installation. I must say it was preformed in excellent form. I thank the Sir Knights who assisted me that evening. Our Warder, Sir Knight Ashley Beagle, was installed as Master.

    We had our School of Instruction at the January meeting. Our Division Commander, Sir Knight  Ken Rood, did an excellent job of answering questions and guiding our path to performing our jobs well. Thanks, Ken, for all you do for us.

    I had the honor of being part of the Super Excellent Masters Degree on February 12, 2008, at Henry Barnes Lodge presented by Jeffries Council on several candidates. Believe me, this was a star performance. It takes from twenty to thirty brethren to confer this degree and each one did their job extremely well. Sir Knight Bill Lorenz among many others did an outstanding job. Billy Scolf directed the degree. We were honored to have David I. Boone, Most Illustrious Grand Master of the Grand Council of Ky as well as Daniel Coleman, Right Eminent Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Ky. Newport Commandery was well represented

     Here’s hoping everyone remains safe and healthy. Please remember to pray for our sick and shut ins.

     Until next month, I remain;
     Fraternally and Sincerely Thine;
     Bobby E. Crittendon, Commander
